Free-Standing LED Wall Installation at VinFast Yorkdale
VinFast, an emerging leader in electric vehicle manufacturing, partnered with GAV MGMT to deliver a high-impact digital display solution at its flagship retail showroom in Yorkdale Shopping Centre. As part of its brand launch in Canada, the client required a striking, freestanding LED installation to support dynamic automotive content and promotional campaigns—without relying on permanent structural mounting.
The result was a fully integrated digital signage system designed to showcase VinFast’s vehicle lineup with exceptional clarity, precision, and architectural presence, all within a flexible retail layout.
VinFast required a premium digital display that would deliver high-resolution video content while meeting structural limitations within a retail storefront. The solution needed to be large-format, free-standing, and self-supporting—eliminating the need for wall anchoring or structural reinforcements.
The display had to support continuous playback of promotional content and adapt to future campaign changes, all while maintaining a sleek appearance consistent with the brand’s luxury retail aesthetic. Visual performance, mounting stability, and seamless content control were key technical and design priorities.
GAV MGMT designed and deployed a custom freestanding LED wall featuring Samsung IFR15 display technology in a 6×4 cabinet configuration. With a 1.5mm pixel pitch and resolution of 3840P x 1440P, the display delivered ultra-high-definition visuals tailored for the high-traffic retail environment.
The LED system was mounted on a purpose-built structure fabricated by Melnik Mounts, measuring 10 feet high by 19 feet wide and 2 feet deep. This custom engineering solution provided full structural support without requiring attachment to surrounding walls, allowing for flexible placement and future repositioning within the retail footprint.
Content delivery was handled via a dedicated media player and SBOX LED controller, enabling seamless playback of dynamic content, real-time updates, and alignment with seasonal promotions and product launches. The installation was completed with precision millwork that framed the LED wall and enhanced its integration into the showroom environment.
