AV Integration for Townhall Space at a Leading Canadian Financial Institution
A leading Canadian financial institution partnered with GAV MGMT to implement a highperformance audiovisual environment on the fifth floor of its downtown Toronto office. Designed to support large-scale internal communications, hybrid collaboration, and company-wide townhalls, the space required seamless integration of presentation technology, distributed audio, and remote conferencing systems.
The solution needed to accommodate both inperson and virtual participation with consistent AV quality, flexible content distribution, and intuitive system control—all within a premium, multipurpose corporate setting.
The client required a townhall environment capable of delivering large-format presentations, hybrid meetings, and background music distribution across an expansive floor plan. The AV infrastructure needed to provide full room visibility, zoned audio, and support for both scheduled events and ad hoc collaboration.
Key requirements included dual projection screens, secondary display support, high-fidelity ceiling audio, multiple content input sources, and a robust video conferencing system. Ease of use and a unified control interface were essential to ensure reliable daily operation by internal teams.
GAV MGMT deployed a comprehensive AV system featuring dual 119-inch projection screens powered by NEC projectors, supported by four ceiling-mounted 55″ displays to ensure full visual coverage throughout the room. Two DM transmitter wall plates provided local content sharing, with a cable box integrated as a selectable source for live media streaming.
Audio was distributed via approximately 75 Crestron Saros pendant speakers, strategically placed to ensure balanced sound across the space. Zoned audio control was implemented to allow dynamic adjustments based on room usage. Three BluSound music players were integrated to support background audio during informal sessions or non-meeting hours.
Hybrid collaboration was enabled through a Cisco Webex Room Kit Pro, paired with 4K PTZ cameras for presenter and audience capture. This setup supported high-quality remote engagement, making the townhall suitable for both internal and cross-regional meetings. System control and automation were delivered through two Crestron touch panels, providing intuitive access to all room functions from a centralized interface.
