Multi-Room Corporate AV Integration for A Leading Canadian Financial Institution
Multi-Room Corporate AV Integration
For A Leading Canadian Financial Institution
One of Canada’s leading financial institutions recently completed the development of a state-of-the-art conference centre at their downtown Toronto headquarters. Spanning two executive floors, the new environment was designed to support high-level collaboration, hybrid meetings, and national communications.
To enable seamless interaction across teams and regions, the organization partnered with GAV MGMT to deliver an integrated AV solution that aligned with its workplace technology standards and long-term operational goals. The project was executed in two phases across the executive floors, encompassing eleven rooms and multiple open collaboration areas—representing one of the client’s most advanced workplace technology initiatives to date.
The Challenge
The client required consistent AV performance and a unified user experience across multiple floors and diverse room types. Each room needed to support over ten distinct configurations, from auditoriums and workshops to fireside chats and executive boardrooms. AV systems had to support flexible room combinations, integrate seamlessly with the organization’s IT infrastructure, and deliver a premium visual and audio experience.
They also sought a scalable solution with centralized control, shared resources, and minimal setup overhead, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while maintaining aesthetic and technical excellence.
The Solution
GAV MGMT collaborated with IT, AV, and workplace teams to implement a robust, future-ready audiovisual environment. The Level 4 conference area featured seven rooms, each equipped with a 50-cabinet Planar MGP 1.2 LED wall in a 32:9 aspect ratio, in-ceiling loudspeakers, and a pool of over 48 wireless microphones. Mobile 75″ displays and confidence monitors added flexibility, while lecterns were integrated with Crestron NVX for network-based connectivity.
On Level 47, the project delivered four conference rooms anchored by 36-cabinet Planar LED walls in a 16:9 aspect ratio, 61 wireless microphones, and front wall-mounted tower speakers for optimized sound. Across both floors, 1 Beyond intelligent cameras enabled automated audience and presenter tracking, with Cisco Room Kit Pro systems supporting seamless hybrid conferencing.
Audio processing was managed using QSC DSPs (Core 5200 on L4 and Core 610 on L47). Axis security cameras provided oversight and monitoring, while all AV distribution was handled via a Crestron NVX platform connected through HDMI wall plates and portable breakout boxes. Unified control interfaces included both Crestron touch panels and Cisco Room Navigator systems, featuring modes for both end users and AV technicians, complete with real-time camera and microphone management and dynamic room configuration overlays.
