Every Space.”: one audio processor, the DM-NAX-AP-100, running the same network-based platform in every room, scaled up or down to fit.

One processor, three ways to build a room

Every DM NAX® room starts with the AP-100. From there, you choose one of three supported configurations, depending on the room:

Ceiling: up to four Saros® DM-NAX-IC4A-W active ceiling speakers, each able to power up to three additional passive IC4P-W speakers (up to 16 speakers in total), paired with up to four Sennheiser® TCC M Plus in-ceiling microphones.

Hybrid: the same Saros® active ceiling speakers paired with up to four DM-NAX-POD-MIC tabletop mic pods, a good fit for larger rooms that want overhead speaker coverage and mic pickup on the table.

Tabletop: up to eight DM-NAX-POD-MIC-SPK and/or DM-NAX-POD-MIC pods on the table, no ceiling installation required.

That range means a huddle room, a standard conference room, and a full boardroom can all run on the same platform.

The speakers and mic pods that connect to the AP-100

Each configuration is built from a small set of devices that connect to the AP-100, and each one has a different job:

Saros® DM-NAX-IC4A-W and IC4P-W (ceiling speakers): no external amp needed. Each active IC4A-W speaker can power up to three passive IC4P-W speakers, and passive IC4P-W speakers don’t count toward the AP-100’s limit of eight paired devices. The fit for rooms that want broad, even coverage from the ceiling without adding separate amplifier hardware.

DM-NAX-POD-MIC-SPK (mic and speaker pod): a 360°, 12-element beamforming microphone array with a built-in speaker in one tabletop unit, up to eight pods per AP-100. The fit for rooms that want mic pickup and sound reinforcement from the table, without installing anything in the ceiling.

DM-NAX-POD-MIC (mic-only pod): the same 360° beamforming array as the POD-MIC-SPK, without the speaker. Pairs with Saros® ceiling speakers for rooms that want audio coming from overhead while keeping the tabletop clean, with just a low-profile mic pod on the table.

What the AP-100 actually does

The AP-100 is a compact processor with onboard DSP: acoustic echo cancellation (AEC), automatic gain control (AGC), dynamic noise suppression, auto-mixing, matrix mixing, parametric EQ, and delay compression. That’s the processing that keeps a call sounding clear, and that gives AI meeting assistants clean audio to work with, without anyone in the room adjusting anything. It connects to the room’s meeting computer or a guest laptop over USB-C®, where it shows up as a single echo-canceling speakerphone, and it’s built on Crestron’s DM NVX® AV-over-IP foundation, so microphones and speakers connect over standard CAT cabling and get power and data over a single PoE connection.

Microsoft Teams® certified

Paired with DM NAX® mic and speaker pods, or with Sennheiser® TeamConnect Ceiling microphones and Saros® ceiling speakers, the AP-100 forms a Microsoft Teams certified conferencing solution. In bring-your-own-meeting (BYOM) rooms, the AP-100 can be selected as the audio device for a laptop running Teams.

One detail that matters for IT: the AP-100 has two network ports. LAN 1 handles control and powers the processor over PoE. LAN 2 is dedicated to audio-over-IP, so the room’s microphones and speakers run on their own isolated network, separate from everything else. Audio between the AP-100 and paired DM NAX® devices streams as encrypted unicast. Paired devices auto-discover and configure themselves, which is what gets a room from installation to first audio in minutes.

Managed the same way, room by room

Every AP-100 is set up and managed from one browser dashboard, with no separate software to install. From that dashboard, you get system status at a glance, one-touch volume and mute controls, and health reporting for every connected microphone and speaker, including network status, IP address, signal presence, and firmware version. XiO Cloud® Platform Management is also available for teams that want to manage the system remotely, alongside the local dashboard.

Room to grow

The AP-100 is AES67 compatible, so it can work alongside compatible third-party audio devices, and it exposes three independent AES67 streams for extending the room’s audio. That includes feeding an Assistive Listening System (ALS) directly from the room’s audio. Because devices auto-discover on the network, adding a room or expanding one follows the same setup process as the first.

Why this matters

For a facilities or IT team managing more than one room, the appeal isn’t any single feature. It’s that a huddle room and a boardroom can run on the same platform, go through the same setup process, and get monitored from the same dashboard, all while giving AI meeting tools the clean audio they need to actually be useful.

Designing DM NAX® rooms with GAV MGMT

GAV MGMT is a national design-build AV and physical security integrator, and Crestron is one of several manufacturer partners in our collaboration portfolio. The AP-100 pairs with Crestron mic and speaker pods, Saros® PoE ceiling speakers, and Sennheiser® TeamConnect Ceiling microphones, and configures them automatically.

Is DM NAX® Microsoft Teams certified? Yes. The AP-100 forms a Microsoft Teams certified conferencing solution when paired with DM NAX® mic and speaker pods, or with a Sennheiser® TeamConnect Ceiling microphone and Saros® ceiling speakers.

How many microphones and speakers can one AP-100 support? Up to eight paired devices, including up to eight tabletop mic pods. In a ceiling design, that is up to four ceiling microphones and up to four active Saros® speakers, each driving up to three passive speakers, for up to 16 speakers in total.

How does the AP-100 connect to a meeting room computer or laptop? Over a single USB-C® connection. The computer sees the AP-100 as one echo-canceling speakerphone with bidirectional stereo audio.

How does DM NAX® keep audio traffic off the corporate network? The AP-100 has a dedicated network port for audio-over-IP, so microphone and speaker traffic runs on its own LAN. Audio between the AP-100 and paired DM NAX® devices is encrypted.

How are DM NAX® rooms managed? Each AP-100 has a browser-based dashboard showing the status of every paired device. XiO Cloud® Platform Management adds remote management across rooms.

Get the DM NAX® Look Book and Buyer’s Guide

The 2026 DM NAX® Intelligent Audio Look Book includes a Buyer’s Guide to help you compare product options and choose the right audio solution for each room.
